Kohler launches new sauna line

Fixtures maker Kohler is branching out in the wellness space.The brand debuted an assortment of state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor saunas. The new saunas fuse traditional heat therapy with modern performance standards and offer luxury consumers an opportunity for at-home wellness. "The thoughtful design of KOHLER Saunas creates beautiful and therapeutic environments that invigorate the senses and promote deep relaxation, recovery and rejuvenation," said Katie Stevens, general manager ofKohler Wellness, in a statement. "Our new sauna category makes it easy for customers to find and purchase the right sauna, from a trusted brand, to seamlessly integrate into their lifestyle and the architecture of their home, inside or out."Full steam aheadThe new saunas feature thick walls and glass for heat retention, a freestanding heater, dual thermostat and a proprietary ventilation system. Users can operate the time, temperature and lighting settings via a sleek touchscreen panel. A sunset lighting system and sauna-safe Obeche wood headrest further enhance the space’s relaxing capabilities.

The indoor models can function as a stand-alone fixture or can be integrated into renovations or new builds. The saunas use wood finishes, and the exterior finish options for indoor saunas are Scandinavian Spruce and Graphite Grey, with matching Scandinavian Spruce interiors. Outdoor units can endure year-round weather conditions and feature triple-insulated waterproof ceilings, dual-pane glass and a locking system. Buyers can choose from the Douglas Fir or Weathered Grey Spruce colorways, with Scandinavian Spruce interiors. The saunas, designated for residential spaces, are available in three sizes: small, medium and large. Kohler acquired the German premium sauna company Klafs in the beginning of 2024 for an undisclosed sum (see story).
