Overview
The Upper Engadine, one of the highest inhabited valleys in the Alps, enchants with majestic three-thousand-meter peaks, crystal-clear mountain lakes and that magical light that the century-old painter Giovanni Segantini so impressively set in scene.
On the sunny slope in St. Moritz lies the elegant villa "Treis Azurs," from where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the mountain world. In the midst of magnificent nature, you can recharge your batteries here. And if you are looking for a change of pace, you can always find it in fashionable St. Moritz, just 10 minutes away.
...The area of St. Moritz captivates with an enchanting mix of tradition and modernity, with quaint Engadine houses, its own mineral baths and magnificent hotel buildings from the Belle Epoque. There are numerous shopping facilities, a primary school and a hospital on site. Situated at an impressive 1,720 m above sea level, the alpine community is a popular starting point for mountain tours.
The famous Bernina Express travels along St. Moritz, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is close by and it has been there since 2008. From Engadin Airport - the highest airport in Europe - there are connections to Zurich, Geneva, Basel, Milan and Munich.
Numerous art venues have established themselves in the Engadine, with galleries in St. Moritz and the new »Muzeum Susch« in the Lower Engadine. Gourmets also get their money's worth. The Upper Engadine is also famous for its sporting events, such as the White Turf, an international horse race on the frozen lake of St. Moritz.
The nearby winter sports area Corviglia-Marguns-Piz Nair offers almost limitless fun for skiers, snowboarders and cross-country skiers. The neighboring Corvatsch glacier ski area even offers 120 kilometers of pistes and the highest mountain station in the Eastern Alps at 3303 metres.
"Treis Azurs" originally dates from the 1960s, but has been fundamentally renovated, extended and adapted to today's living requirements. This is exemplified by the Segantini blue of the façade.
The large loft-like living hall extends from the modern kitchen through the spacious dining area to the actual living area with its representative fireplace. Exquisite pieces of alpine-style furniture are as much in evidence here as modern design classics. Everywhere you can enjoy fascinating views in any location in St. Moritz and the Engadine mountains. In summer, living can continue at any time on the spacious panoramic terrace.
On the garden level there are four beautiful bedrooms, children's rooms or guest rooms with garden views, each sharing a spacious bathroom. To the far west, a private spa area opens up with a rain shower, sauna and steam bath, which can also be used as an additional living space if required.
"Treis Azurs" provides an elegant retreat in the midst of the grandiose Engadine landscape. At the blue hour, the lights already go on down in the village, while high above the snow-covered peaks glow in the last sunlight. Giovanni Segantini would have put it on canvas in exactly the same way.
