WATCH: Our first ever Friday Faces episode is the Vogue 73 Questions of Real Estate

By LINSEY STONCHUS

Get to know Luxury Portfolio International’s network of exceptional agents while simultaneously touring some of their stunning listings in our new video series, Friday Faces.

In its first episode, Anne Rossley, a real estate agent with Baird & Warner in Chicago, Illinois, explores a Lincoln Park townhouse as she offers her nuggets of wisdom on residential property and identifies her favorite local activities.

“As I got into [real estate], I realized that everything begins in the home – where we choose to live, the location, floor plan, size, style, amenities,” Ms. Rossley said. “It is such an important decision.”

In these important decisions, it is vital to surround yourself with the right agent, according to the 33-year veteran of the real estate business.

Anne Rossley, real estate at Baird and Warner, discusses Real Estate and her love for her local community in the first-ever episode of Friday Faces.

Dive in

Ms. Rossley’s go-to piece of advice for those entering real estate?

“Before you jump in, you need to commit,” she said. “Commit time, resources, energy.

“You really have to hone your craft, be good at what you do, and be willing to give everything to your clients,” she said. “This is a concierge type business, so you need to be all in.”

Personally, most exciting for Ms. Rossley is the ever-evolving landscape of real estate.

“Real estate changes all the time,” she said. “Everyday is different. I’m always learning, there’s always a challenge, always a problem to solve.”

The second city

Through and through, Ms. Rossley is a true Chicagoan, enthusiastically talking up the city during her tour.

At the end of the day, she likes nothing more than unwinding with a glass of red wine as she enjoys sights of Grant Park, Buckingham Fountain and the lakefront from her living room.

Alternatively, “If I am restless, I will take the Australian labradoodles out for a run along the Chicago lakefront,” she said.

Ms. Rossley also enjoys catching a Cubs game or grabbing lunch at Le Colonial on Oak Street, just off of the famed Michigan Avenue.

If she were to live anywhere else, she would swap lakefront for oceanfront.

“Oh my gosh, I would love to be on the Strand in Manhattan Beach in California, overlooking the ocean,” Ms. Rossley said. “Paid for, of course!”
