As a child, Melora fell in love with the North Shore of Long Island. Upon graduation from college, she returned to the Three Village community where she grew up and met her husband, a native of nearby St. James. They have lived together in Stony Brook for 30 years and have raised two children—now young adults. After attending graduate school at Hofstra University, Melora became a teacher in the Hauppauge Public School District. Throughout her 20+ year teaching career she "opened doors" for students, and now, as a realtor, she opens doors for people who are beginning a new chapter in their life. Melora derives happiness and energy from helping others, and since 2014 has transferred her strengths as an educator—thorough knowledge of subject matter, active listening skills, and a strong moral compass—to the world of reality.

Melora has earned four real estate designations including the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and the Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE) and has been awarded for her sales volume and number of units sold on multiple occasions.

In addition to her work, giving back to the community is an important part of Melora’s life. For three years, she served on the Long Island Board of Realtors for the North Shore Suffolk County Chapter. One of her roles as a board member was to help organize educational events for realtors. Outside of real estate, Melora has been an active volunteer since 2015 with Open Door Exchange, Long Island’s only furniture bank.

Melora welcomes the opportunity to discuss your real estate needs and to serve as your real estate advisor.
