Vivian went so far as to write a masters thesis about the cutting up of Manhattan apartments during the 1930s. A graduate of Harvard University with a Master's from Columbia University in real estate development, Vivian is also a veteran documentary filmmaker with 30 years of television, museum, and feature documentary films to show for it. She was trained as a film director by the BBC in London and for a long time traveled the world for her projects. She remains a member of the Directors Guild and Writers Guild.
