I was fortunate to grow up and raise my children in Tallahassee, FL, and we're all Florida State Seminole fans. Although we loved the proximity to the beach, we now enjoy the Western North Carolina mountain vistas just as much. We chose Asheville, NC on a leap of faith, and count our blessings daily that we're surrounded by all the beauty and recreation this area has to offer. When the kids visit, we can often be found at Carrier Park competing in a "Family Olympics," which includes beach volleyball, hula hoop running, Spikeball, and crab walk races.
