After 38+ years in the High Country, Sandra still feels blessed to call the area home! Sandra first glimpsed the NC mountains during a senior college ski trip. That was all it took, and she vowed to one day have a home here!Sandra was raised on the central Florida Gulf Coast. She received a BS degree from Florida State University, including an overseas study program in Florence, Italy. She later resided three years in Germany, followed by several years in Oklahoma City. The lure of the mountains and seasonal changes became even stronger! The dream became a reality in 1982 when her family made a permanent move to the High Country. She feels so fortunate to have raised both her sons in the area, in Watauga County schools and Appalachian State University. As a previous educator and business owner, she valued the opportunity to be a parent and Red Cross volunteer for over 15 years in the Watauga County schools, while also active in various community organizations. In 2003 Sandra made the leap into the real estate world and received her Broker license. The real estate world had long intrigued her as a career that could utilize the best of her skills, work experience, and her love/passion for design, decorating and people. Successful careers managing a renowned retail business in Oklahoma City, and later her own small local business, provided her with invaluable marketing, management, organizational and customer service expertise.
