Check Out the 2014 DC Design House
If it looks like this 1929 Colonial
had an entire team of top designers working on it, well that’s because it did! Each year the best designers in the Washington DC area are invited to showcase the latest in innovative design for a unique event benefitting local charity Children’s National Health System. Though it’s been nearly a century since the home was constructed, it’s in mint condition from top to bottom
thanks to the bevy of talent that’s contributed to the event. First opening its doors to the public on April 12, guests are invited to walk through
and enjoy the cutting edge design until May 11.
It’s simply a must-see for home enthusiasts in the area, who will take delight in stylish details throughout, from the luxurious bathrooms with real seashell tiles and vibrant walls of Manuel Canovas fabric to the perfect kid’s playroom (it even has a climbing wall!). Brimming with chic textures, fixtures and color codes, the grand colonial truly boasts the best of modern and traditional style.
