This charming Maison de Pecheur (or Fisherman's House) is in the village of Port Grimaud, where every home has direct access to the Mediterranean. The home was completely remodeled in 2008 and has been virtually unoccupied since then, just waiting for you!
This distinctive home has three levels. The main level consists of a new modern kitchen and a living and dining room that opens up onto a waterside terrace. The waterside terrace looks out onto the canal, where it is possible to dock a boat of up to 50 feet. The front entry opens to a lovely garden terrace which includes a wrought iron table and chairs that accomodates eight for a lovely outdoor gathering.
The second level has two bedrooms and bathrooms, and the third floor has a spacious private master with en suite bath as well as an office/study area that could be used as an additional bedroom.
All bathrooms are new with the latest luxury European fixtures and custom Italian tiles. The kitchen boasts the latest appliances from Siemens, as well as a wine refrigerator. An added luxury for this area is a clothes washer and separate clothes dryer.
Port Grimaud began in the 1960's as the dream of French architect Francois Spoerry. His dream was to create a private lagoon city with waterways in place of roads, where yachts could be docked in front of the owner's homes. The village was designed with traditional Provencal architecture and looks like an authentic centuries-old coastal village. Originally planned for 900 dwellings it has grown to over 2200 dwellings over the past 40 years.
Port Grimaud is located in the south of France at the head of the Golfe of Saint-Tropez, equal distance from Saint-Tropez and Sainte-Maxime. Nice Cote d'Azur International Airport is easily accessible, as is all of the French Riviera via various modes of transportation.
Views include: water, sunset, sunrise, marina.
