While Star Mountain has served as a magnificent home and a world-class corporate retreat, it is much more than that.  It is a place of inspiration and personal discovery.  Star Mountain is Nouveau Montagne in its design and personally revealing in its experience.  This intention is represented in every beam, every rock, every nuance found throughout this amazing place.  The style is not traditional mountain, Tuscan or Santa Fe, but a beautiful blend of rich natural materials, thoughtful detail and art and a warm and cozy scale rarely found in a 9,000 square foot home.  Additionally, the owners have named all the rooms resulting in an evocative environment.

One enters the home, up the heated stone stairway, through beautifully hand-hewn doors, to the mirrored entryway, known as Begin.  From Begin, the grand lodge rotunda, Aspire, opens up.  The owner describes the entrance, "The intention is that you walk in and feel as though you have been invited into a place that is an unfolding of the space and welcomes you into a panarama of views and inspiration."

Walking through Aspire, one is drawn to the outdoors through grand sliding glass walls.  Outside beautifully landscaped terrraces reign where flowers are orchestrated to bloom during various seasons and butterlies and hummingbirds happily reside.  The sunny, multilevel, south-facing terrace, Immerse, showcases the rock-fortressed hot tub with waterfall and secret grotto that keeps guests out of the weather.  There is plentiful furniture for winter and summer sunning, dining and relaxing as well as a large, gas fire pit with chairlift seating.  The Snake River courses below and just across the river is the Keystone stable with its majestic Percheron draft horses.

Gracious entertaining is the hallmark of Star Mountain.  Abundance features a well-designed bistro dining area seating 22, but intimate enough for two.  The kitchen, Vitality, is one that highly-trained chefs who frequently perform and prepare meals here consider truly professional.  Everything for preparing gourmet delights abounds:  large, rough-edged, slab granite counters, stainless steel appliances including two ranges (gas and electric), custom copper exhaust fan, restaurant-sized refrigerator and freezer, warming oven, commercial ice maker, two Bosche dishwashers and accessible pantry space.  Additionally, ample refrigeration, ice and foor storage is found elsewhere in Provisions.

Star Mountain is purposefully built on half levels, in order to maintain the sense of intimacy throughout.  Nowhere is that more evident than in the guest suites with names like Believe, Create and Inspire.  Each of the eight separate accommodations features a tranquil color palate, calming, well-appointed room layout, en suite, spa-like bathroom and refrigerator.  The en suite nature of each of the bedroom lends itself to the type of privacy that is perfect for corporate retreats and shared ownership opportunities, as well as gracious single-family living.

The library is aptly named Discover.  Inspirational maxims are custom carved into the room's painted round table and chairs.  This is a perfect place for meeting, dinner parties or a quiet place to inquire.  Adjacent is the media center, Explore, that has twelve luxurious, reclining leather theater seats, unique scene lighting and a state-of-the-art media system.

The spa and fitness level, Origins, provides an expert workout facility complete with exercise equipment, a massage room and a large steam room in a cave-like design appearing as though it emerged from the begining of time.  The game room, Amuse, is on its own level and presents table games and a fireplace.
