Mount Edgecombe Plantation provides a yesteryear great house experience in a stunning setting as a perfect West Indian authentic Plantation home which has been completely and beautifully restored. Built by Lord Edgecombe of Devon, England in the late 1700’s, in a picturesque, sheltered yet elevated location on the western coast of Grenada this historic and colorful estate enjoys cool sea breezes, overlooks verdant botanical gardens and orchards to the sparkling waters of the Caribbean below. The Plantation maintains specimen trees, many traditional varieties of crops and fruits as well as exotic flowers and spices that are either indigenous to the Island or that were introduced by planters in the 1700’s and 1800’s. As such, it is both a showcase and a working plantation, ensuring that these varieties are protected for future generations to enjoy. An immaculate very rare and historic plantation estate.

Approached up a long and winding drive and wonderfully located, surrounded by its own thirty acres of spices, fruits, vegetables and tropical botanical gardens. The main house comprises an entrance hall, living room, snooker room, covered dinning terrace study, kitchen, master en suite bedroom and dressing room together with three guest bedrooms with two bathrooms, large wrap around living dining balcony, laundry room and staff annex with bathroom. The long house provides two large guest suites each with dramatic bathrooms and porch. The great room is a spectacular, very large living dining room with bar and plantation style kitchen suitable for entertaining. These three buildings surround the enchanting nutmeg courtyard, aviary and charming tropical flower gardens and have beautiful vistas. Two dramatic infinity edge swimming pools and terrace overlook the lush vegetation and Caribbean Sea.

There are also two additional staff cottages close to the main house that provide for a secure staffed entrance. Beautifully restored by the current owner the plantation enjoys a protected and very private environment of exceptional beauty and ambiance. The great house has four bedrooms and the addition of two guest bedrooms in the long house means ten guests can be comfortably accommodated for that quintessential house party. A jaw dropping double infinity pool with sun deck and adjoining great room create an ambience for social gathering or simple relaxation that cannot be surpassed. There are two staff estate cottages as well as live-in staff quarters adjoining the main house.
