SHERWOOD LODGE 

Sherwood Lodge is an historic country lodge built in 1910 and located beside the lottery river in the foothills of the Amuri range, at the junction of the Hanmer and Kaikoura ranges. Originally an historic farm homestead built by the Burberry family it has been transformed into a lodge and could easily be run as one again. It is centrally heated with the added comfort of several open fires.

With a 520 square meter total floor area it is quite a magnificent home. The ground floor provides the scullery/laundry, large kitchen, with cellar beneath, formal dining room with open fire and four bedrooms each with an ensuite. Two further rooms, originally the staff quarters are currently utilised as offices. Upstairs there are two further bedrooms & the large lounge with open fire. Each of these rooms opens to the balcony. In the immediate grounds of the lodge are several outbuildings, a swimming pool and tennis court.
