Established in 1892, Poggenpohl is the world’s oldest luxury kitchen cabinet brand with worldwide headquarters located in Herford, Germany. There are more than 30 Poggenpohl Kitchen Design Studios in the U.S. and Poggenpohl exports kitchens to over 70 countries. See a list of Poggenpohl corporate showrooms.

Poggenpohl produces long-lasting kitchens of superlative quality that guarantee maximum safety and avoid harming the environment. The company’s products are created solely at its German headquarters in Herford, Westphalia. All production is geared towards minimizing energy consumption and avoiding waste. Over 80% of Poggenpohl’s suppliers come from the region, so that ecological standards can be monitored.

Sustainability is one of the key principles of the Poggenpohl philosophy. It is safeguarded through proactive product development practices that are aimed at sparing resources, as well as intelligent design that follows no short-lived fashion trend.

Poggenpohl only uses wood obtained from sustainably-managed forests, eco-friendly varnishes and as few chemicals as possible. Wherever possible, innovative body constructions with a sandwich design replace heavy panel materials that are raw material-intensive. Since they are high-quality, high-tech composite materials with a honeycomb core, they reduce wood consumption as well as transport costs.
Poggenpohl award-winning design concepts:

+ARTESIO is a new concept designed in collaboration with Hamburg-based star architect and designer Hadi Teherani. It provides an all-embracing solution in an architectural melting pot fusing furniture design, wall, floor and ceiling integrating ventilation, lighting and sound. In this concept, cooking and eating go hand in hand.

+SEGMENTO combine stainless steel and aluminum with the warmth of marsh oak and mineral beige satin lacquer. The spacer trim with integrated handle recess facilitates opening from above and eliminates the need for handles. The stainless steel island countertop creates an impressive elegance

PLUSMODO is based on the dual concept of displaying and concealing, and developed by Jorge Pensi, a leading Spanish furniture and lighting designer. The design features a landscape of horizontal lines with showcase-style glass pull-out trays, sliding doors and a solid 6-inch countertop that includes drawers. This eliminates the need for hinged doors and enhances functionality and ergonomics.

+INTEGRATION transforms the kitchen into a multifunctional, multimedia space that merges kitchen and traditional living spaces into a fully functional hub suitable for dining, entertaining, relaxing and/or working. It combines innovative front design with exotic woods, high gloss lacquers, glass countertops and a LED system in the backsplash.

Poggenpohl’s Porsche Design P’7340 kitchen’s sleek look is based on a modular illuminated aluminum frame that emphasizes the linear architecture and organizes available space. The handleless doors and drawers operate with an assisted opening feature. Other features include the integrated A/V system, integrated appliances and a honeycomb core. The unique aluminum-titanium wall and island frames define the rectangle as a starting point and uniting feature for the design. Poggenpohl is the world’s first kitchen manufacturer to use carbon fiber for styling cabinetry fronts. Laminated and applied to a glass front, the lightweight composite carbon fiber material adds a three-dimensional appearance, is durable, temperature-resistant and widely used in aerospace and automotive engineering. The P’7340 kitchen’s combination of aluminum and glass materials provides even more exclusivity with the addition of carbon fiber.
