Every client defines "luxury" differently. For some, it means ultra-thick carpeting, cozy groupings and sumptuous fabrics; for others, light and airy spaces energized by streams of natural light.

Helping clients achieve their dreams is my primary role. To ensure that happens, I advise and support them through the process. I serve as a sounding board and present them with alternatives they may not have considered. If they get sidetracked, we discuss their ultimate goal, and if need be, revise our plan to incorporate new ideas. Ongoing communication, continuous follow-up and detailed diagrams for subcontractors are key to eliminating errors. This intricate planning and continuous dialogue save time and money in the long run.

To me, the difference between an attractive home and one that takes your breath away rests in the details. Details like integrating family heirlooms and favorite pieces into completely new settings. Determining the most unobtrusive placement of floor outlets and light switches. Finding an accent tile that perfectly matches a custom-designed backsplash and inserting it in the kitchen’s marble floor. This attention to detail –– at every turn –– is what transforms four walls and a roof into a warm and inviting retreat.

I have been an interior designer for more than 30 years and have learned the four essentials in any design project have little to do with furniture, paint, lighting or window treatments. Rather, they have everything to do with:
•Being a conscientious listener
•Spending a client’s money as if it were my own
•Insisting on quality over expediency
•Paying attention to the tiniest details

Over the years I have developed a tried and true network of reliable, highly skilled tradespeople throughout Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. They are true artisans and are as devoted to satisfying clients as I am. However, since it's my name and reputation on the line, you can be certain I oversee and sign off on every aspect of every project –– no matter how seemingly insignificant.

In my opinion, an interior designer's challenge –– and greatest joy –– comes from clarifying each client's definition of luxury and ensuring a one-of-a-kind outcome that is a true reflection of his or her taste.
