Sally Lapides Speaks at Year Up Providence

Sally Lapides, CEO of Residential Properties Ltd., was featured as a guest speaker for the incoming class of students on Friday, October 1st at Year Up Providence. Located downtown on Dorrance Street, Year up is a work force development program that gives 18 to 24 year olds the tools needed to succeed in the business world. Sally Lapides became acquainted with Year Up when Executive Director, Meghan Hughes, asked her to mentor a student in the program. She is currently mentoring a student from Class 11 of the program.

At the talk, Sally discussed her experiences starting out as a young professional in Real Estate and spoke of how her drive helped her to achieve many business accomplishments. There was also a question and answer section where Sally got to respond to questions posed by students.

Year Up's mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by providing young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education. If you would like to become a mentor, visit the Year Up Providence website and contact Alex McCray.

"I love this program." Sally responded to one of the questions asked. "Honestly, from the people I have met who have applied to this program and gone through this program, you are incredibly special people."
