Aspen Luxury Ranch Sells for $20.5 Million
Posted 05/31/2011Joshua & Co., the exclusive Aspen affiliate of both Christie’s International Real Estate and Luxury Portfolio International, today announces the real estate closing of Black Bear Ranch, a luxury ranch property valued at $20,500,000.
Nestled against rolling hills and located in the pristine Owl Creek Ranch subdivision between Aspen and Snowmass Village, the estate provides expansive views across alpine meadows, capturing Buttermilk, Snowmass Mountain and Aspen Highlands.
The 77-acre ranch property includes a 12,500-square-foot main house with six bedrooms, guest house with two bedrooms, garage with eight bays, pool, three ponds and more than 8,300 square feet of decks.
Joshua Saslove, president and founder of Joshua & Co. real estate in Aspen, represented the seller. The buyer was represented by Tony DiLucia of Aspen Associates Realty Group.
The Owl Creek Ranch transaction follows an upward trend of luxury property sales in the Aspen market. Recent activity includes a Wildcat Ranch property that sold for $17.5 million in January, 2011, with seller representation by Joshua Saslove of Joshua & Co. Pitkin County’s largest single-family residence transaction of 2010, a $31.5 million Aspen estate, also included seller representation by Joshua Saslove. Other noted transactions by Joshua & Co. include the sale of the historic Hotel Jerome in downtown Aspen in 2007 for $55,000,000, Mandalay Ranch in 2004 for $46,000,000, Crystal Island Ranch in 2006 for $47,000,000, and in 2009, an Aspen home on Red Mountain for $43 million.
