Florida Luxurious Locations
Because Florida lies at a geographic crossroads between America's South and Eastern Seaboard as well as the Spanish and French-influenced nations and cultures of the Gulf and Caribbean, a number of its locales have attracted the wealthy, both young and more mature, active and retired. In particular, the state's extensive beachfront regions have been the site of particular interest, as they offer a seaside view that comes with ready access to vibrant nightlife and the impeccably blue, warm waters of the ocean.
The Florida Keys and, in particular, Key West, are perhaps the state's most famous spot for adventurous living. Once the home of the novelist Earnest Hemingway, this island chain is famous for its free-wheeling, 'pirate' culture and plethora of bars, sailboats, fishing spots, and immaculate beaches. Perhaps more importantly, since it was first connected to the mainland by a railroad bridge that was known for a time as the 'Eight Wonder of the World', the islands have been known as a comfortable spot for independent-minded individuals who seek estates that are wondrous yet removed from the everyday hassles of the mainland.
Those who seek both the charms of the ocean and the throbbing power of glamorous nightlife, however, may be interested in the general Miami-Dade area. Like all major urban areas this metropolis has its more and less fortunate environs, however few cities in the world are synonymous with words like 'dance', 'club', or 'passion'. This passion, seen in the faces of the area's inhabitants, translates directly into the authenticity of the city's culture, as its unique blend of Cuban, West Indian, and traditional American elements has created an arts, music, and culinary scene that are admired throughout the world.
Further north, along the center of the state's eastern coast, one finds Cape Canaveral and the famous 'Space Coast'. Though perhaps better known for tourism that was related to the space shuttle program, the Kennedy Space Center is still expected to be the primary host for America's government and private space programs well into the coming century, making the surrounding area a worthy investment for individuals who are major figures in the aerospace industry. Likewise, though central Florida, especially the Orlando area, is known for its multiple amusement parks and is therefore often seen as an area that's been exclusively developed for tourists, the fact that it does play host to so many attractions makes it an ideal place for families to invest in real estate.
Florida's western coast, as well, should not be ignored. Though generally considered more 'Southern' culturally, the seashore that stretches from Tampa Bay to Pensacola is still largely undeveloped. This could make it an ideal getaway for individuals who are looking to develop large, beachfront estates.
