Low-Maintenance Trex Decking

It's almost time for me to re-stain the deck, position the furniture and set up the grill for several months of outdoor entertaining. When this yearly process is complete, I enjoy the look of my wood deck, but not necessarily the upkeep involved caused by living in a harsh climate.  One alternative to a maintenance heavy wood deck is Trex, which is becoming a more and more popular option in luxury home decking.

In addition to being low-maintenance, Trex decking is environmentally friendly; created from a composite of recycled wood and plastic products.  With a wide selection of colors and the ability to be curved, Trex also allows for several design options to match any taste.

Phyllis Harb's Gravatar Wonderful suggesion. In my Los Angeles real estate market, many of our decks are termite infested; this is a great solution.

Vicki Walker's Gravatar Trex has come a long way from it's beginning many years ago. It is now top grade material and is becoming the norm in many California locations, very much like Pergo has taken market share in the indoor flooring business.

Ava's Gravatar I agree with you Phyllis. It seems like a great solution! It looks like they have a great range of colors and styles as well.

Jim Rivers's Gravatar I will have to try this out! Chicago's brutal winter does a number to my deck and outdoor patio furniture. Nothing says luxury, like a beat up, off color deck!

Also, with the constant reminders to be eco-friendly... there is no longer an excuse to keep harming the enviornment. Thanks for the recommendation.

Jimi Witt's Gravatar Trex is a great green alternative for decking. We offer Trex decks with our Mindful Living homes. Our clients like the look and low maintenance.
Trex also offers their Fire Defense line that is accepted in California's WUI enforced ares.

Deck Guy's Gravatar This is great information for one who is looking into building a deck. Trex is a very good alternative to traditional wood. There are also materials to use as well, but I think Trex might be the best one yet! Thank you.
