After being raised in the famous Burgundy wine region of France, Paul Masson immigrated to California and became a viticulture pioneer in the Santa Clara Valley.  Masson found the ideal location to produce quality grapes in the foothills above Saratoga.  It is here where he built the Mountain Winery, and where some of the world's finest Chardonnay is produced today.

Also in this idyllic setting 50 miles north of San Francisco is where Chateau Mount Eden was built. Newly completed in 2008, the substantial estate overlooking the valley boasts incredible views and fine old world craftsmanship.  And, of course, there is a 1,000 square foot wine cellar and tasting room for the wine enthusiast.
