In Chicago, we have the famous Old Water Tower which survived the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Today the tower serves as a visitor information center and stands as a landmark reminding citizens of the Second City's recovery from the blaze. Thats great when they make good use of old buildings...make them into interesting homes or something creative. I've never been to Chicago, but I enjoy your blog!
