Morocco

I've been fixated on a trip to Morocco for several years now.  The richness of the culture is alluring to me - Europe meets North Africa, Christianity meets Islam.  A complex history reveals influences of several cultures, including Phoenician, Roman, Byzantine, Berber, Moorish, Arab and more.  Despite several attempts while I lived abroad in Europe, I have never had the pleasure of crossing the Strait of Gibraltar over to North Africa.  My biggest obstacle has been planning the logistics of the trip!  Surprisingly, it is difficult to find a luxury travel company that offers a comprehensive tour of the region.  Luckily, I've found a great itinerary through Abercrombie & Kent, a seasoned luxury travel company that offers inspiring experiences in over 100 countries.  The adventure begins in the famous port city of Casablanca, followed by Rabat, the capital city, and the imperial city of Meknes.  Next up is Fez, which I've heard is both beautiful and antiquated, and finally exotic Marrakech.  The trip is chock full of visits to souks, mosques, Roman ruins, museums, palaces, gardens and more.  Not big on packaged itineraries?  Abercrombie & Kent allows travelers to design their own itineraries to meet their personal travel desires.  I've read that early autumn is a good time to go, when the weather is cooler but the rainy season has not yet begun.  I know what I'll be doing next October...
